Complex and Criminal Immigration Defense

Texas Criminal Immigration Defense Lawyers

We fight hard to keep you in the United States

Over the years, the US government has cracked down on immigrants with criminal convictions. Less than ten years ago, there were few deportable offenses. Now, there are now many criminal convictions that usually result in instant deportation unless we find some form of relief. At Saenz-Rodriguez & Associates, we stay on the cutting edge of the law to serve you best. If you or someone close to you faces deportation because of a criminal conviction, call Saenz-Rodriguez & Associates to talk to an accomplished complex immigration attorney.

Complex Immigration Cases

We handle criminal immigration defense cases that involve

212(c) or Saint Cyr waivers. If you pled guilty to a crime before 1997, you may be eligible for a Saint Cyr waiver. Many permanent residents pled guilty because, according to the law at that time, a deferred adjudication was not a deportable offense. Congress changed the law to make it retroactive. However, the US Supreme Court carved out a limited exception. A 212 (c) is an old waiver only available for crimes committed before 1997.
